Still looking for a place to go to for the holidays? I got the hotspot where you can find it all! It has the best summer weather, beaches and a relax atmosphere. I am talking about the Greek island Skopelos, situated in the western Aegean Sea. According to the legend, Skopelos was founded by Staphylos (Grape), the son of the god Dionysos and the princess Ariadne of Crete. And these days Skopelos is also known as the island where the film Mama Mia is been recorded.
But why this island instead of another island of Greece? Well, this mountainous isle in the north Aegean Sea is really unspoiled. Along the coast you can find beaches in every shape and form, from bays with mountain views to cliff-framed coves that can only be reached by boat. There are also a lot of walking trails through the olive groves, pine forests and orchards. And last but not least, the island is full of traditional villages and known for the best honey.
So if you want to have a calm vacation with lots of beautiful views, the best weather and lots of beaches. Choose Skopelos, it will be worth every penny you spend.
There is a new hotspot you can add to your list of must go’s! If you are living in Sweden or planning to go to Stockholm soon, please visit Drop Coffee to taste the best brewed coffee there is in town. This company makes each cup of coffee from its own roasters and the focus lies on traded coffee. According to their website they believe that if they pay the farmer a good price for the arduous work to produce the coffee, it will benefit him or her, their families, communities and the local environment. So with each cup you are drinking, you help will help others to build a sustainable life. Isn’t that inspiring to drink even more coffee? Well, back to the coffee bar itself. Drop coffee is located in one of the hippest areas of Stockholm and the moment you walk in you feel a relaxed atmosphere where you can either have one coffee or go for a lunch with some friends. I must say, the soup and sandwiches are also very tasteful! But be on time, especially on Sundays it is always a little crowdy. So to make sure you got a seat, go a little early.
Why is it that we always choose for vacation holidays in countries that we already know? Why is it that we are afraid to experience something new and stick to the old known habits? That was the question that popped up in my head when I saw this breath-taking photograph of a lake in Slovenia. Do we choose those trips based on safety, because we ‘know the place and it is good?’ Well my goal is to always search for something new, the unknown. And I think Slovenia has definitely made it to my list of must go’s! This country offers just about everything what anyone could wish for. The diverse landscapes with magnificent rugged alpine peaks, some of the most beautiful lakes in Europe and more than 8000 subterranean caves and coastal resorts that nestle on the sunny turquoise Adriatic sea. But it is not only the breathtaking scenery why Slovenia is a must go, it offers also a great value for money and a vast array of experiences to enjoy. And I can already say that slovenian food is real tasteful and healthy! So what do you think, will it be Slovenia for the summer? Get inspired!
At Inspire me photograph we are always looking for the newest trends and best inspirations. But we missed one section at our website and that is one about the hotspots of the biggest cities. It is also the reason why we didn’t post a thing, because we were on a quest for the hippest hotspots in Berlin this weekend!
And this day I want to start with a restaurant that has the best Noodle soup in town! For sure I am not lying and you can ask every Japanese that lives here in Berlin. The name of the restaurant is Cocolo Ramen and they have a tiny restaurant in Mitte and a bigger one in Kreuzberg where you also can eat lunch. Their food is very delicious and contains freshly made noodles in a tasty soup, topped with vegetables, wakame and eggs. Beside of that, you can choose more toppings in vegan, meat of fish. They also offer a little menu with typical Japanese starters. But be aware: every Berliner knows this place, so be patient while you wait for a table. It’s more than worth it!
