Goodmorning sunrise

A new life in a new city can be exhausting. Every new day is filled with new things, new stimuli and new experiences. You meet a lot of new people and cannot find the time to stand still and think about all those things. So here is my new start of this blog with a new photograph from the rising sun in the morning. It is the best feeling to wake up and drive to the beach and see how a new day rises from the sea into the sky. It works a bit like running, but this time you do not have to strain to make your head free. I am truly inspired by nature. Are you? Have a good day with lots of inspirations!

What is it about social media that we like so much? The updates of our friends about drinks in a fancy club or a new ‘like page’ that keeps you updated with the most (not) interesting stories. But we are still attractive to those social media. Actually, I believe that we are more addicted than ever.  If I take a quick look around me, I see almost everyone sitting with his or her mobile phone or laptop including myself. So that made me think about why social media is so addictive and can I change this addiction in something inspiring? Maybe I can find something that inspires your day more than quick update of a party event.

And luckily I found it! It is an account on Instagram, called Berlinstagram, from a guy that takes the most wonderful pictures everyday with his mobile of Berlin. According to his website, it was in October 2010 that he took his first iPhone picture and uploaded it to Instagram. Soon after that he discovered the possibilities of photo editing apps and Instagram’s vibrant community. And that is what you see in every photograph he takes.

So if you already spend that much time on your phone, visit http://berlinstagram.net for inspiring photographs or add him on Instagram: Berlinstagram.  Get inspired!

Summer is coming and that means stress, workouts and lots of diets if you are a girl. Well for most of us. It is so typical that we want to hide our bodies and don’t feel good about ourselves.  But this year there is a solution where you can still be sexy, fashion and less have to worry about your body! The bathing suit is back again and that means less stress about the bellies and the hips and more focus on the lovely weather and the beach!! Of course you want to get your look right, so luckily you can find the bathing suits in different sorts and looks. Maybe one with a low back, or open on the sides. You will find yours, because on every web shop for women you can find bathing suits these days. My favourite website is www.asos.com. You can find different styles and different models. So, have fun this summer with relaxing and not stressing like crazy. We have a solution these days, it’s called the bathing suit!

Du bist verrückt mein Kind, du mußt nach Berlin.

Berlin. For a long time I was planning to move to this city and I am here now. The city that is well known for its history. On every corner of every street you can find something that will remind you of the things of what have been happened here. Also, this city is relaxed. It is all about freedom, creativity and social people.  The art scene here is huge. I can truly say everything is possible here. And of course not to forget: the schnitzels und bradwurt mit sauerkraut. This is my first time, but I can already say that this city is magic. If you want to experience this town, you have to explore every district. You will not find the shimmering on first hand, but that is the fun of this city. Berlin is known for it’s hidden gems and many of them. I am sure people will recognize this once they have been there. So five months. I have only got five months to explore and discover everything there is to know about Berlin. And for now I can only say:  Du bist verrückt mein Kind, du mußt nach Berlin. You’re crazy, my child, you have to Berlin!

Inspiration from money with stamps.

At Inspire me photograph we love to get inspired by photographs, lifestyles and also by new ideas. And this idea by David Gaz is absolutely great! A book inspired him about doing nice things for others. The idea is simple: if you do something nice for someone, you can create a chain reaction.  And with this thought he filmed a documentary and started a project called ‘Good Virus’.  According to their website they want to see if the ‘Good Virus’ effect plays out with money. They are thinking that if they give the money to someone who needs food, this money is spent and somebody else will receive it. Then once the money is in circulation, perhaps the next person who gets the bill will read the message and be inspired to spend it on a good cause too, and so on and so on..

We at Inspire me photograph believe that this is a very inspiring idea! So how can you recognize your ‘Good Virus’ dollar? The people of this project stamp on 1 dollar and 5 dollar bills the red sentence ‘This money has been used for good’. So try to see this money for something good and not directly for yourself. You can also help David Gaz to buy one of the stamps at the website below. Start stamping and get inspired by doing something good with a little money!

Paris: a potrait of a city

Taschen

Taschen

Today I am leaving Amsterdam for a short city trip to experience the romance in the most romantic city of this world: Paris. It is, after all, Valentine’s day. My mission is the quest for l’amour de Paris and by that I mean not only the romance of love. I will hopefully live and breathe the Parisian life for a couple of days. Hours filled with lots of wine and French food, taking the metro to anywhere. Wandering away through this city..

But of course I will not be able to blog everyday, because my days will be filled up with experience this wonderful city. Sorry ;-)! Therefore I found the solution! A must have and a great gadget to have in your home. I am talking about the book Paris: Portrait of a city by Taschen. This book contains everything from Daguerre to Dutronc. It is a fantastic coffee-table ode to the most romantic city on earth. Taschen calls it ‘The true family album of all Parisians’ and, with over 500 heart-stoppingly photographs, I agree. Get inspired by this book and experience l’amour de Paris jus ton your couch with a cup of coffee. It is, after all, Valentine’s day.

Goodmorning! It is Wednesday, so time for some food inspiration! This time I already start with a breakfast recipe, because the first meal of the day is the most important one.  The only problem is that most people do not like to eat in the mornings, but it is necessary to eat something. If you find it hard to eat bread or yoghurt for breakfast, I got a solution that is fresh, light and full of vitamins! Make a fresh smoothie for yourself. It isn’t that hard to make and it taste great.  The recipe is simple: You need the ingredients of the photo and mix them in a blender. So next time you don’t need an excuse to miss breakfast, because this is your healthy and simple solution. Get inspired!
